PRIVACY POLICY NOTICE

 McKillop Law Firm, PL (the “Firm”) respects the privacy and security of our Clients’ and Customers’ non-public personal information and protecting that personal information is one of our top priorities. We understand that you may be concerned about what we will do with such information – particularly any non-public personal or financial information. This privacy statement explains our Firm’s privacy practices, including how we use the personal information we receive from you and from other specified sources, and to whom it may be disclosed. It does not govern the manner in which we may use information we have obtained from any other source, such as information obtained from a public record or from another person or entity. The Firm follows the privacy practices described in this Privacy Policy Notice and the Firm may share information as described herein. Depending upon which of our services you are utilizing, the types of nonpublic personal information that we may collect include but not be limited to:

  • Information we receive from you or a third party such as your lender, broker or agent, including but not limited to information such as your name, address, social security number, tax identification number, asset and income information, employment status and history, tax return information, loan application materials;
  • Information we receive from you through our internet website, including but not limited to your address, email address, internet protocol address, the website links you used to get to our websites, and your activity while using or reviewing our website;
  • Information about your transactions with or services performed by us, our affiliates, or other third parties involved in such transactions, such as the real estate agent or lender; and
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency and publicly recorded documents.

We may provide our Clients’, former Clients’ or Customers’ personal information to various individuals and companies, as permitted by law, without obtaining prior authorization. Disclosures may include, without limitation, the following:

  • To insurance agents, brokers, representatives, support organizations, or others to provide you with services you have requested, and to enable us to detect or prevent criminal activity, fraud, material misrepresentation, or non-disclosure in connection with an insurance or real estate transaction;
  • To lenders, lien holders, judgment creditors, or other parties claiming an encumbrance or an interest in title whose claim or interest must be determined, settled, paid or released prior to title or escrow closing;
  • Financial service providers such as companies engaged in banking, consumer finance, securities and insurance.

Although we retain the right to share personal information, such as your name, address and facts about your transaction with various individuals and companies, such as lenders, insurance companies, agents and other real estate service providers, we request and share such personal information for our own legitimate business purposes to provide you with products and/or services you have requested; not for the benefit of any nonaffiliated party. Therefore, we will not release your information to nonaffiliated parties except: (1) as necessary for us to provide the product or service you have requested of us; or (2) as permitted by law. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you with anyone for any purpose that is not specifically permitted by law.

Any and all nonpublic personal information obtained by the Firm may be stored indefinitely, including the period after which any attorney-client or consumer relationship has ceased. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information. Such information may be used for any internal purpose, such as quality control efforts or consumer analysis. This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time consistent with applicable privacy laws. The effective date of this Privacy statement, as stated below, indicates that last time this privacy policy was revised or materially changed.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
